Public transportation

How to get to Uni. Potsdam and to Guesthouses/Hotels

You may consult the official homepage of public transportation in Berlin and Potsdam. Look at the map of Potsdam where I marked the physics building. You can find useful information also on the University of Potsdam page for map and transportation.

From Berlin:
Take the local train (Regionalexpress RE1) direction Brandenburg from Berlin-Wannsee, Berlin-Zoologischer Garten, Berlin-Fridrichstrasse or Berlin-Alexanderplatz (see the homepage of Deutsche Bahn for timetables) and get out at Postdam-Park Sanssousi. From there walk 10 min to the physics building. The local ticket (zones ABC) is valid for the whole Berlin and Potsdam.

The train schedule (valid from Mai 27, 2005):

Eisenhhuettenstadt -> Brandenburg (every hour throughout the day)

From the Airports:
From Berlin-Tegel: take the bus X9 to Berlin-Zoologischer Garten, then follow instructions "from Berlin"
From Berlin-Schoenefeld: take the local train (Airport-Express) to Berlin-Zoologischer Garten, then follow instructions "from Berlin"
From Berlin-Tempelhof: take subway (U-Bahn) to Berlin-Zoologischer Garten, then follow instructions "from Berlin"

From Potsdam-Hauptbahnhof:
take bus 605 or 606 (direction Golm) or 695 (direction Potsdam-Pirschheide), get out at "Neues Palais"
